The VUB campus is easily accessible by public transport (train, tram and metro).
From Brussels city centre and Brussels International Airport:

Metro Line 5 link the city centre and the VUB, closest stop is “Pétillon”

From the airport, take the airport train shuttle to Brussels Central Station, before taking metro Line 5 to “Pétillon”
So you can easily get there from anywhere in Brussels. Train-tickets can be bought on the site of the NMBS/SNCB, and metro/tram-tickets on the site of the STIB/MIVB.
The prices for public transport in Belgium are fixed and not date dependent.
For the metro, the recommended ticket is likely the STIB-MIVB 1 journey fare (2.10 Euro if you use contactless payment with your bankcard; 2.60 Euro if you purchase a ticket at a vending machine).
The banquet will take place in the heart of Brussels, close to our national pride ‘Manneken Pis’. The banquet is included in the registration fee.
